Hi to everyone,

Can anyone help me - I am struggling with this files since 2 days.
I have to make an Alignment in Trados Studio 2015 of two IDML files.
I had an Error when pairing them together (but I have read the solution in the forum, now Trados is pairing them, opening them and on the left column is the English (source) file and on the right side, where is supposed to be the target file (I am opening ... See more
Hi to everyone,

Can anyone help me - I am struggling with this files since 2 days.
I have to make an Alignment in Trados Studio 2015 of two IDML files.
I had an Error when pairing them together (but I have read the solution in the forum, now Trados is pairing them, opening them and on the left column is the English (source) file and on the right side, where is supposed to be the target file (I am opening it with InDesign - it is perfect target translation) - the lines/cells are grey and empty.
Pls help - the deadline is on Monday

Hi,
I don't know if I have understood your question.
Maybe it's too late, but you could check these settings.
It is just a thought since I can't replicate the problem on my PC.
Have you checked in Indesign, Levels window, if the text is locked ?
If so there should be a "padlock" icon close to the level which includes the text.
This way the text is visible in Indesign but it will not show up in Trados.

Glad I could help you.
I did an Indesign course some years ago, but this is something they don't teach you.
You just learn this kind of thing by experience.
