Eu estou incerta sobre como traduzir "at-will" na expressão acima. A frase é:

"This policy does not create a contract of employment between this company and any employee, nor does it alter the at-will employment relationship or any employment contract and/or agreement between the company and employees"

É como eu diria, adaptando à situação brasileira.

At-will employment is a doctrine of American law that defines an employment relationship in which either party can break the relationship with no liability provided there was no express contract for a definite term governing the employment relationship and that the employer does not belong to a collective bargain (i.e. a union). Under this legal doctrine:

“ any hiring is presumed to be "at will"; that is, the employer is free to discharge individuals "for good cause, or bad cause, or no cause at all," and the employee is equally free to quit, strike, or otherwise cease work.[1]

At will Employment- emprego por vontade própria - segundo sua vontade, o empregador pode demitir quaisquer de seus trabalhadores a qualquer momento, e o trabalhador, por sua vez, pode escolher deixar o trabalho, se esse for o seu desejo). Na ausência de um contrato formal de trabalho com prazo definido, um empregador pode dispensar um funcionário por justa causa, ou por qualquer outro motivo, contanto que não seja por razões de ilegalidade.

a minha explicação ficou perdida no meio do texto:

segundo a definição e, tomando em consideração a legislação laboral portuguesa, este parece-me ser o termo que mais se aproxima.

Relação de trabalho sem garantias


شرح:
Trata-se de uma relação de trabalho muito em voga nos Estados Unidos mas que não existe no direito português. Através desta modalidade qualquer das partes, tmpregador e trabalhador, podem rescindir o contrato de trabalho sem necessidade de invocar justa causa.

Eu optaria por usar o termo por ex. de contrato de trabalho "at will" e entre parênteses explicar em que consiste dado tratar-se de uma figura jurídica sui generis.
