These parts can identify the weapon by their markings on the cartridge case or on the actual bullet itself. You can see here if I rotate the bullet that there are little **angular groves**. These are the rifling marks that are left by the barrel when the bullet is propelled along the barrel. These little marks and scores can be magnified and compared with another bullet that would be fired in the forensic laboratories to match that specific weapon accurately to that particularly bullet."
