IMHO имеются в виду показатели качества камней, а именно (1) качество отделки поверхности и (2) форма, пропорции камня. Эти показатели определяются по каким-то другим, более конкретным признакам или показателям. Вопрос состоит в том, какие из этих конкретных признаков определяют именно качество отделки, а пропорции камня.
Так это или нет, должно быть видно из более широкого контекста, которым я не обладаю
