English term or phrase: refuses to be held
Alguno de las frases en el texto explica tener que regresar a la sala de emergencia "if your child is not drinking enough fluids, will not wake up, has skin that looks blue, or seems very fussy and refuses to be held."

Explanation:
One of several possibilities, I prefer the first version.
I would avoid the passive voice in Spanish, it does not sound natural

Although coger is perfectly valid (you could say se niega a que lo cojan) it is a bad word in some LA countries so as a general rule I try to avoid it when interpreting/translating for Latinos in the US.

If you do a search for bebe + estar en brazos or bebe + tener en brazos you will find tons of hits :-)

I should have said, TWO of several possibilities...
