The head of the Defence Section is a Brigadier, who is the Defence and Army Attaché. His role is not only to advise the Ambassador, but also to promote UK Defence interests within Germany, by fostering British-German defence relations at all levels. Defence relations with the Armed Forces of Germany are very close.

He is supported by three further attachés of equal rank who handle single service matters: a Naval Attaché (Captain, Royal Navy), an Air Attaché (Group Captain, Royal Air Force) and a Military Attache (Colonel, British Army).

atachat wojskowy przy ambasadzie - Urzędem attaché jest ataszat (attachat)
Millitary Attache or as one proposed Defense Millitary Atache.

تهجية اللغة US English - native speaker

شرح:
Attaché is a French word, meaning a person who is assigned ("attached") to the administrative staff of a higher placed person or another service or agency.
The original connotation was that the attaché was an officer (employee) of another service "attached to," for example, a diplomatic mission: e.g. the attaché retains a military commission despite being assigned to serve in an Embassy. A military attaché (a high-ranking officer - general), a militaryexpert, and official representative who is part of a diplomatic mission;

The proper officially used term for the personnel is always "Military Attaché" .

Very rarely will be used the term Defense Attaché.

Re: "Defense Attache of the ... Embassy"
The function of the officer could be "Defense Attaché at the Embassy", but it is not the term used as the introductory term for the official title.
It still is the "Military Attaché".

Defense Attache Office (DAO):
It is THE FUNCTION not the title, it is still "Military Attaché"!
i.e. Military Attaché in the (internal) section of Defense

"in the USA English it could be also Military Attache, but Defense Attache is more common used"
______________________________________
That is NOT the statement of any material fact, no it is not.
Within the Military the functions are commonly considered as are confidential, so are rarely officially disclosed, altought recently it becomes accepted to use term describing the branch of the service, Naval Attaché, or Air Force Attaché (Air Attaché).

The official title is: "Military Attaché", the assigned function is:
employed at the Office of Military Attaché, the section of the Defense.

Very rarely used: Defense Attache’s Office commonly Millitary Attaché Office.

Re: Military, Defense, Naval and Air Attache

Military Attaché might be from the Marines, Navy, or Air Force, but that is be rather as description of the branch of the Military than the official title.
It can be however seen by the uniform he wears at the official functions, very rarely defined the branch (military department) of the service.

It is very annoying when translators and even sworn interpreters, translate the terms which they do think, or might thing what they should be.

In the real life it is totally different.
The biggest problem are the interpreters of technical and professional terms, which they do attempt to translate directly without understanding what it is about.

Many technical interpretation in English, German, and French is a real put down, as they are pure nonsenses.

I can only speculate that some idiot newsman from Gazeta Wyborcza, or idiot professor of Polish language with the title given him by PRL , from a well recognized Polish University for six month tried to keep himself busy at the office while attempting to translate the term Attache to atachat!
It is always better not to attempt to translate some specialized foreign language terms, specially in the information technology, and keep them in original language.
The worst what can be is to attempt to nationalize them and to apply declination:
i.e LINUX or as some morons translate in possessive Linuksem.
There is NO such thing as LINUKS, it is and should be LINUX.

A może lepiej było by po prostu napisac "przyczepiony do Ambasady"?
