agree  Robert Gulewicz: Interpretowałbym podobnie, tylko ujął nieco inaczej: ...activity/whatnot tends to be highly variable, resulting in a high amount of overall intensity (IMO w kontekście sportu nie trzeba już dookreślać "intensity").
