Medical - Medical (general) / IV FLUID
Spanish term or phrase: RLG
This is a nurse's charting entry for an infant in Spain. The baby was dehydrated and had a slightly elevated temp. An IV of "RLG" was ordered. All other entries referring to this say the baby was given hypotonic saline solution or IV fluid replacement. I'm having trouble finding exactly what the initials RLG stand for. I assume it's electrolyte replacement, but there are different kinds. Is the "R" for Ringers, or "rehidratante"? Is the "G" for glucose? Or am I totally off base?
