Dear colleagues, Hoping you are all fine. I am writing today to warn you from a scammer who has stolen my professional CV. This scammer's name is: Khalil El-Khatib / Khateeb Khalil / [email protected] He put his name instead of mine & changed a little of my information. He is is sending out my CV pretending to be me, using A FAKE name. He even sent me previously some pages to translate but fo... See more Dear colleagues, Hoping you are all fine. I am writing today to warn you from a scammer who has stolen my professional CV. This scammer's name is: Khalil El-Khatib / Khateeb Khalil / [email protected] He put his name instead of mine & changed a little of my information. He is is sending out my CV pretending to be me, using A FAKE name. He even sent me previously some pages to translate but fortunately enough I have not been available! Of course, I am very annoyed & distressed. I am thus REPORTING about him. Hi Morano, Languagemet people requested my CV and I did send it to them.Are sure they are scammers? hat is the use of taking other translators' Cv and altering them? What are they gaining from it? Dear Marwa, Just be cautious when sending out your CV. I advise you to have a look at Mr./Joao Roque Dias' Directory of Scammers. They can gain a lot by sending out our CVs & altering some of our contact information. They can fool decent clients by handling their works... Some more vicious scammers can even use our real names to personify us, handle projects on our behalf, deliver bad quality or collect illegal payments! Thus destroying our reputation.. Aft...
