I was offered the great honor to join this program and I thankfully did so. This is a win-win scenario for the portal as well as the certified professionals.
I firmly believe there is a need to distinguish qualified, experienced translation professionals and am happy to play any part I can in supporting that.
The ProZ.com certified PRO network is great. Another member asked me to team up with her as a translator-reviewer couple for one of her new clients... I think it will be nice to work with her.

So far I'm impressed with quality and detailed level of thought and feedback people are putting in, plus the fact that people are motivated by what's good for the industry rather than their own self-interest.
The updates to the menu were made to make the site easy and more intuitive for visitors. Obviously, like any change, this may take a few days to get used to.
The dropdown menus have been divided into two-dimensional panels with similar items grouped together under headings. This eliminates scrolling for those with smaller screens, and also improves readability.
Mouseover your name at the top of the screen. Here you will find information about your account, your email settings, and more. The "My ProZ.com" menu was moved up here to simplify the main navigation, and to keep all of this type of information together.
