I am Bárbara Gual, a professional translator and conference interpreter based in Valencia.
I have been working as a professional translator since 2006, most of the time as a freelancer but have also been employed three in-house positions for a total of three years. I have first-hand experience in project management, translation and copywriting.
Furthermore, I have over twelve years of professional experience in conference interpreting; firstly based in Geneva, where I worked for international organisations, then in London and now in Spain. Broad RSI experience before and during the pandemic. I am specialized in legal, human rights and religious matters.
I am currently studying a BA in Law (long-distance university) and most of my professional life involves legal translation (Human rights, international criminal law, international public law, contracts, articles of association). I work closely with NGOs on International Law, with Law firms and international bodies on accounting, auditing, and financial instruments.
I am also specialised in ecumenical organisations, and have both interpreted and translated since 2018 for many Christian denominations.
