I have travelled a great deal in Europe and have always been impressed by the excellent quality of service furnished by the European establishments in which I have stayed. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for your establishment in Vancouver…First of all, I had expressly askedi for a room which did not overlook the highway…secondly, the air conditioning did not work and was not repaired despite my repeated requests…I was also disappointed by the dinner in your restaurant. It is obvious that your chef does not know the difference between a well-done steak and a rare one. Finally, I find it extraordinary that in an officially bilingual country, I was unableii to make myself understood in French in your hotel.

J’ai beaucoup voyagé en Europe et j’ai toujours été impressionné par l’excellente qualité du service fourni par les établissements où je suis descendue. Malheureusement, je ne peux pas en dire autant de votre établissement à Vancouver. Tout d’abord, j’avais demandé expressément une chambre qui ne donnait pas sur l’autoroute…deuxièmement, la climatisation ne fonctionnait pas et n’a pas été réparée en dépit de mes demandes répétées…J’ai aussi été déçue du dîner servi à votre restaurant. Il est évident que votre chef ne sait pas la différence entre un steak bien cuit et un steak saignant. Enfin, je trouve extraordinaire que dans un pays qui est officiellement bilingue, je n’aie pas pu me faire comprendre en français à votre hôtel.
