Source text - English The capital city of Albania, Tirana, has a colorful cultural atmosphere, which reflects the significant economic and political changes that have occurred in the city over the course of only a century. This richness of atmosphere extends to the natural beauty of the city. The red and black poppy, which is Albania’s national flower, can be seen growing throughout the entire city, and Tirana’s Botanical Gardens, which are managed by the University of Tirana, span close to 15 hectares, or around that. The University of Tirana’s Botanical Gardens include close to 2,000 species of plants. The flowers that can be found in these gardens include the poppy, begonias, gentians, and many more.
One of the oldest cities in Albania, Durrës is located along the beautiful coast, and is one of the most economically important cities in Albania because of its close vicinity to the coast. Though the city’s economic activity has reduced much of the original flora and plantation in Durrës, there is still a good amount of green space, containing fig and eucalyptus trees, and in addition, there are many flower gardens that still exist throughout the city of Durrës, growing poppies, roses, and more. A short trip east to Tirana allows access to the University of Tirana’s Botanical Gardens, containing even more flowers, such as gentians, begonias, and a variety of others.
The city of Elbasan is known for the rich history that has occurred within its walls. Occupied throughout history by Ottomans, Byzantines, Italians, and Serbs, among others, the city’s art, design, and events reflect the variety of cultural and religious influences that went into its creation. For example, the city has a significant Islamic presence, but is also well-known for its Summer Day festivity, a pagan holiday celebrating the end of winter and the coming of spring – flowers being symbolically important to the holiday. The Elbasan thermal baths are a well-known locale as well, and flower gardens growing roses, irises, and quinces can be found throughout.
The small town of Ballsh, in southern Albania, once known as Glavinitsa, takes its name from Balsa II (pronounced like bal-sh), its former ruler. The town is well known for the large amount of oil and crude petroleum in the fields surrounding the town. While it is the case that the industrial nature of the city means there isn’t much by way of flora in the area, a few hardier oak and conifer trees grow around the city. Additionally, Ballsh is close to the ancient Illyrian city of Byllis, an ancient seaside ruin which is today considered a cultural monument of Albania, and was once important to the Ancient Greeks.
Berat is a city in south-central Albania, and it is also considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site"

Этот город знаменит большим количеством нефти в полях, которые окружают город. Поскольку город считается промышленным, разнообразием флоры он вряд ли удивит, однако здесь можно встретить величественные хвойные и дубовые деревья, растущие повсюду.
