SDLX 2007 - need keyboard shortcut for "Insert Unicode Control Character / Right-to-Left"

For years I've been opening that little drop-down menu in SDLX in order to insert the RTL control character (Insert Unicode Control Character / RLM Right-to-Left Mark).
Now, with a large project that has many such occassions, I wonder if there's a keyboard shortcut for this.
SDLX Help doesn't help...
Thanks, Doron

Simply you can use this combinations: - Right to left\ LTR : Alt + 0254 from the Num pad (the numeric keys at the very right side of the keyboard) - Left to Right\ RTL: Alt + 0253 from the Num pad (the numeric keys at the very right side of the keyboard)
For easier usage you can create a macro to do any of these key combinations (we use Ctrl + Shift + R for RTL and Ctrl + Shift + L for LTR).

These shortcuts are valid in any program that support unicode, and can be used in many important situations to control the text direction in positions, where there are bi-lingual or bi-directional characters beside each other.
This is very useful specially for using with right to left languages, like Arabic in our case.
I hope this you all will like these shortcuts and remember us when using them.

Great, thanks!

Many thanks, this is exactly what I needed. I'll do the macro of course. Ctrl+Shift+R is just the one from TagEditor, so I'm already used to it.
Much appreciated, Doron

Macros - how to create them?
Jan 2, 2010
Hi again,
I thought creating a macro for this shortcut in Vista should be easy. It's not. It's not even offered as an option in Vista help.
Since SDLX doesn't offer this option, nor do the 'programming' options of my Logitech keyboard, how did you manage to create a keyboard shortcut for Alt + 0254 ?
Many thanks, Doron
