It has no social connections; the data just stays here at ProZ.com. Along with the "agree" button, we changed the action buttons for edit, quote, and link. Please give any feedback or suggestions you have to further improve the "agree" feature. 1. Addition of an "agree" button and display of users who agree -Agree Button: Added to the forum action buttons, this allows users to agree or revoke an agree on another users forum post, similar to a "like" button found on sites such as Facebook. -Display Number of Agrees: If a post has been agreed to by at least one user, the number of agrees on that post will be displayed next to "Agree" button -Display Names of Agreers: If the post has agreers and displays the number of agrees, the viewer can hover over the number of agrees message to display a tool tip containing the site names of those who have agreed. 2. Changes to action buttons -Order of the buttons: Changed to display from left to right: agree, edit, quote, link -Visuals of buttons: Changed to popular icons relevant to edit, quote, and link ▲ Collapse
I have wished to request this for a long time. Many times, all I want to say about some forum reply is that I concur! | | | Gerard de Noord France Local time: 13:45 Member (2003) English to Dutch + ... Isn't there an international icons instead of thumbs-up? | Jun 13, 2018 |
It's great that ProZ has listened to the users. In Chrome on my PC the buttons are bigger than necessary and the callouts are missing or flickering. I'd rather have an Agree icon than a text button that would need to be localized. The font of the number of agrees is bigger than the font of the postings. Poster himself/herself can't see the "agree" button.

OK, I'm sure this is a daft question but what does this button do, exactly? Copy a link, send something to a link, something to do with sausages....?

1. I see the "Agree" button on my PC, but not on my Kindle tablet. 2. I think it would be better to state the number of "agrees" rather than "agreers" (which I think sounds extremely awkward). Similarly, FB counts "likes" (not "likers").

There is no such noun as "an agree" in the English language. If you want awkward, that would be really awkward. As for Facebook: I don't think it should be a model for anything.

But shouldn't we have a "disagree" button too? This, of course, would change to Un-Disagree if you click it.

Great but... | Jun 14, 2018 |
The only thing with an "agree" button rather than a "like" button is that we now also need a "lol" button for things we find amusing. PS +1 for "agrees" not "agreers". 21st century now innit. | | | JaneD Sweden Local time: 13:45 Member (2009) Swedish to English + ... "Agreer"? Yuck! | Jun 14, 2018 |
I quite like the idea of the feature itself, but "Agreer" looks terribly wrong to me. +1 for "Agrees" (or why not just go the Fb route and use "Likes"? - after all, you can like something without necessarily agreeing with it). | | | Can you tell us more, Hans? | Jun 14, 2018 |
This is interesting. Can you tell us more about that symbol? I don't immediately find anything in a search. | | | Pages in topic: [1 2 3 4 5] > | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Forum "agree" button released Anycount & Translation Office 3000 | Translation Office 3000
