I am a Japanese to English translator based in Osaka, Japan. In 2017, I passed the highest level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test with an almost perfect score of 176/180. I have successfully worked with a variety of source texts, both at Japanese companies and through freelance projects.

I received 3 years' training in patent and other technical translation at Japanese patent offices, working closely with patent attorneys and senior technicians in various fields. I am confident interpreting complex source texts to provide accurate translations for different filing routes (パリルート, PCT), as well as for Office Actions and related procedural documents.

I currently specialize in patents relating to electronics, IT and machinery. I also have over 7 years' experience as a general translator, and regularly enjoy translating documents such as marketing materials, presentations, and business documents.
