Thank you for visiting my profile. 

I hold  a double degree in Translation and
Interpreting and Hispanic Studies and I am permanently trying to learn, improve
and broad my skills and knowledge.

I started working as a translator
in 1999 and my main specialty fields include law, marketing and business, medicine,
education and training, and tourism.

There follows a summary of my professional background as
a translator.

1) Education:

1) Four-year BA in Translation and Interpreting Studies at Universidad de
Granada (Spain).

2) Four-year MA in Hispanic Studies at University of Glasgow (Scotland).

2) Professional experience:

After finishing my degree at the University of Glasgow in 1994, I worked as a
tutor and lecturer of Spanish in several UK universities. Although I did some
translation work then I was very much into teaching (languages as well as translation
and interpreting). I came back to Spain in 1999 and since then I have been
translating in several areas: legal translation, medical documents, real
estate-related documents, touristic texts…


I translated for law firms and different local and regional private companies,
as well as local authorities.

3) Language profile:

My mother tongue is Spanish (Spain).

In addition to holding a UK degree and having lived
in the UK for 9 years, I have a C2 diploma (Cambridge).

I am very fluent in French (B2 + MA university degree)
and Portuguese (MA university dgree).

I also hold a B2 in German.

4) Average daily output:

2,000 to 3,000 words depending on language combination, topic, file format and level
of difficulty of source text.

5) Translation rates:

Depending on difficulty level, word volume and delivery deadlines. Please
