Ragnar Egilsson . The search and filter functions in Matecat are poor and the TM is not very convenient. So I find it difficult to keep my place in the text and ensure consistency. Segments have very long numbers, so they can't be used to navigate. With locked segments, this becomes a question of clicking between segments with a cursor instead of gliding between segments using only keyboard shortcuts like with other CAT tools.
The MT setup is reasonably convenient and the stripped-down look is nice. But this is not a contender for any serious translators.

w432432 (X) . very excellent to use, good.
it has made some improvements.
if it allows users to upload or connect to their local TM to translate, it would be greater.

Nellie K. Adaba . I love MateCat. I had no problem using it starting in 2015, I should have started earlier, I don't need to own special translation memory/localisation software in order to do the translation, proofreading, revising, and/or post-editing assignment, it's done right online in real time. But I do plan on buying a few Cat tools for other jobs which would require them, such as SDL Trados and Wordfast. I recommend Matecat to colleagues, partners, and employers.
