I am referring to the same sentence as in my previous question:
أقر أنا (الخ الخ) بصفتي المالك للأرض والعقار القائم عليها والواقع في الحوض رقم(...) اردني قطعة رقم (...) من أراضي وعر البير، القدس، بأنني - الخ
My question is about the words أرض، حوض، قطعة. Which one would you translate as "plot of land"? And how would you translate the other two?

Non-ProZ.com Nov 19, 2004: Similarly, I once asked on Kudoz what the Arabic terms for 'elm' and'ash' (types of trees) are. The reason was that both ENglish terms appeared in my text, but Al-Mawrid suggested the same Arabic word for both. I had to place both in the same question to make clear that I want to distinct terms.
Non-ProZ.com Nov 19, 2004: Thanks Amr, but there is a reason - an obvious one, in my opinion - for putting the three of them in the same question. If I had put one in each, it is quite possible that I could have received the same answer - plot of land - for each one of them. But the purpose of the question is to define the precise difference between them. It's not just a matter of making things easier on myself.
