it is more commonly used as an example of a long word and many people can cuite the word in this context but couldn't tell you what it means hence its misuse on occasions

the meaning of the word is 'the doctrine opposed to the severance of ties between state and church originally the church of england but now any church and state' so it may have been used in the wrong contecxt originally.
