The ectopic pregnancy was in the right Fallopian tube. In 1994, the patient had a laparoscopy
(i.e., a laparoscope or tube was inserted through the abdominal wall, probably for exploration / diagnostic purposes).
Once the ectopic pregnancy was well visualized, the patient had a D&C or dilatation (+ evacuation) and curettage, which is the usual procedure to eliminate an ectopic pregnancy.
Tha patient also had a laparotomy (her abdomen surgically open) to operate on her right Fallopian tube and remove the pregnancy and the Fallopian tube itself. This procedure is the "right linear salpingectomy".
