Dear Proz members, I have problems with the word タラタラ.
A man is trying to escape from the police, and thus he's driving like crazy in the highway. He seems quite mad with the other drivers, and so he shouts to them: タラタラ運転してんじゃねえよ
I see たらたら means drop-by-drop, incessantly and things like this, but I was wondering about what the meaning was here. Is he just yelling "Don't drive that slow"? Drivers don't seem to perform particular movements like stopping and go of things like that.
Thank you very much!

I think the driver means to say だらだら. Perhaps he's from the Kansai area, because I've heard people from Kansai use たらたら instead of だらだら for greater emphasis and expression of anger towards others who are slow.

Slowly
You guessed right, it is an Onomatopoeia for being slow.

: In subtitling the shorter the better, so I agree, but if more words are allowed I would put "so slowly!' or if it was literature I would add "he said in despair" or something like that.

Make way!
You are right. It means "Don't drive that slow." However, what he really wants is not the driver ahead of him to drive faster, but he wants to pass the car in front of him. An English-speaking driver would yell, "make way XXXX!"
