Yes, you certainly have a point!
Patrick Fitzsimons May 10, 2017:
The problem with "AEO status reference number" is it implies the reference number belongs to the status, rather than the AEO, which isn't how the source is written.

My reading of the source is that the เลขที่อ้างอิง refers to the ผู้ได้รับสิทธิ, rather than to the สิทธิ alone, which is why I suggested that the ผู้ได้รับสิทธิ and AEO are representing the same thing in this sentence.

What do you think?
Dylan J Hartmann (asker) May 10, 2017:
I've left this open awaiting peer approval. I ended up delivering the job with "AEO status reference number: xxxxxx" as I found countless English references to 'AEO status' and felt that 'status' was an appropriate translation of 'สิทธิ'. I am always open to other suggestions though!

AEO Reference Number/s

The source term is a bit of a tautology — since AEO stands for Authorised Economic Operator, ผู้ได้รับสิทธิ seems redundant to me (as it means "party who has been authorised")—the AEO is the authorisation.

Trying to use a term like certified or privilege, for example, (the Thai AEO association uses it here http://www.thaiaeo-ie.or.th/14909961/สิทธิที่ได่้รับอนุมัติ-... wouldn't make much sense: Authorised Economic Operator Privilege-Holder Reference Number, Certified Authorised Economic Operator Reference Number, etc ...
