German term

Kündigungsrechte heilen

German to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Loan Contract
This is from a bond agreement in order to finance a real estate project, in US English:

"Der Anleihegläubiger ist auch berechtigt, Kündigungsrechte der Bank unter dem Senior-Darlehen eigenständig zu heilen."

If anyone could explain what "heilen" means here, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks as always!

Discussion

Rita Translator Oct 27, 2017:
The sentence before this? Can we get the sentence before this (if it's related) for a bit more context? In legal contexts "remedy" is often used for "heilen," but not typically with rights. Since this sentence has an "auch" in the first part, I'm wondering if the previous sentence might have a few context clues that could help.

cure

im Sinne von "beheben", durchaus übliche Wortwahl in US legal lingo, z.B. 'cure an injustice' or 'cure a misapplication of the law'

'Restore' means simply "wiederherstellen"

The bond creditor is also entitled to independently restore the bank's cancellation rights under the Senior Loan.

Would that make sense in context?
