Designating Parts of Historical Periods
Greetings,
Please, how do you say ‘early’ when referring to the early part of a historical period?
I quote:
Hall of Worthies or Jiphyeonjeon was the royal research institute for academic research and also served as advisory to the King in the late Goryeo and early Joseon period.
(On the creation of the Korean alphabet)
Best wishes, and many thanks,
Simon

: "early period" için genellikle "erken dönem" karşılığı kullanılıyor ama "early Joseon period" çevirisi için "Joseon döneminin başlarında" demek bence daha uygun.

Much as I hate it, this really is the way it is used in academia.

Discussion
If your source text is also an academic one (or close enough), this will be the best way to go, I'm afraid.
