Portuguese term
Contribuição Universitária
Portuguese to English
Bus/Financial
Human Resources
This term comes from a document relating to the HR processes for a company in Mexico (although the text is (mostly) Portuguese). It relates to a company savings scheme. I am wondering if the term can just be translated directly as I do not understand what this type of financial contribution is. Context as follows:
1. Uma Contribuição Básica equivalente a 2% do salário base do funcionário.
Thank you in advance for your time, I'm having a bit of trouble with my work this evening so your help is most gratefully received.

Comment: "Thank you so much! This is the term I chose before I put in my query, I just wasn't confident it was OK. Sometimes the most obvious answer is the right one I guess! Thank you to everyone who was kind enough to give advice and suggestions. Happy weekend to all!"

University/College Fund
My suggestion
They are talking about 'contributions', a percentage for a 'fund', this is how I am understanding it. Hope this helped, and good luck!
