If the address is already known, silfilla\'s suggestion is the one to go for [- I was thinking the address might not be known (but is that the case these days when just about everything is known??)]

I heard someone on the radio today use \'validation of address\', so this would be yet another possibility - [as would be, of course, also the simple \'confirmation of address\', which is probably what I was thinking of initially before I somehow landed at the less attractive \'ascertainment\'].
