Office buildings
This term denotes, in an office room (or at least the one in the building in which I work) the width of one window. For example, my room has two "Achsen".
Anyone know what they're called in English? I've seen it referred to as "office unit", but am unimpressed.

(office) grid sections/bays
This is not AFAIK a term used in British architecture, although it's the nearest I can think of to an explanatory term. Buildings here are designed in "Achsen", or "axis/axes", being a grid measurement which is normally the distance between one window-centre and the next - as you might say, a "bay" in English. So your office could also be said to be "two bays wide".

Comment: "Yes, this sounds pretty good, even though it's not strictly speaking the distance between one window centre and the next which is really meant."
