Italiano term

luogo di destinazione

Da Italiano a Inglese Marketing Marketing/Ricerche di mercato
I'm translating a market research report for a chain of pet stores and I'd like to know the english equivalent of "luogo di destinazione".

The phrase is used in two examples, as follows:
1) "Quindi un luogo dove ci si reca per acquistare, di destinazione."
2) "Negli anni XXX si conferma essere luogo di destinazione per gli acquisti pet."

I know there's a specific way of saying this, but right now, I can't for the life of me remember what it is.
Can someone please be so kind as to jog my memory?

Many thanks to everyone for your input!

destination

It's the same in English, but two words shorter. I think the implication is partly that you go there for the shopping experience, rather than simply because you have to.

In answer to your additional point: yes, and we call it a destination just like you do.
Note from asker:
Thanks Phil! What I understood the phrase to mean was that "it's a place you <i>purposely<i> go to visit" as opposed to a "place you simply end up in because you are wandering around". You leave the house to go "specifically" to that place....so it's "un luogo di destinazione", meaning you plan to go there. Not sure if I'm conveying what I mean clearly enough?
