Dear colleagues
A client has requested me to translate a project using a remote WF TM (wf://somethingsomething/). Normally I translate in Trados but luckily, Wordfast Anywhere (WFA) provides a solution as I do not own Wordfast Pro.
However, while I am able to import the remote TM successfully and retrieve TM results when appropriate, I have a problem with repetitions.
When I encounter the same segment in the same document multiple times, I have to rewrite the translation each time as it does not recognize the previous segment. Given the size of the project and my need for consistency, this is not ideal.
I understand WFA has some type of private TM(?) which should store these segments but this does not happen. As I cannot add TMs to the remote TM that has been given to me by the client and I cannot activate an additional TM in WFA which could save the segments (The TM Types do not match), I am at a loss.
Given that this seems like something that should be in WFA, I am confident I am missing something. Does anyone here have experience using Remote TMs in WFA and repetitions?
