Bio
Hi! I’m a native Finnish speaker with knowledge of Japanese and English, starting out as a self- employed translator. I’m currently a Japanese language master’s degree major at the University of Helsinki and nearing the end of my studies, with a finished extended minor in translation studies focusing in technology and software localization. I have experience working both independently and as part of a team tackling larger projects.
I’ve also taught myself image manipulation and drawing for several years, a skill that can potentially be leveraged for multimodal localization such as editing texts embedded in images. Through my hobbies, I have intimate familiarity with gaming, animation and the related pop-culture domains and their translation practices.
