Tourism & Travel
Comment on poorly managed tourism in Venice. Again, within the context of an analysis of the tourism industry in Italy
il turismo, se non incanalato a dovere, come nel caso di Venezia, rischia di diventare deteriore. Col pericolo di antropizzare aree dall’ecosistema troppo fragile.

human impact
If you want to keep it in an accessible form of English, I'd say the very fragile ecosystem risks becoming a casualty of human impact.

: sorry but... online evidence as well as precedent KudoZ - as shown in the discussion space, state your translation has nothing to do with the meaning of the term 'antropizzare'.

human footprint
this open the possibility for a metaphor about the human footprint 'trampling' the delicate environment, something along those lines

Even many Italians do not understand it correctly in Italian, but neverthless 'antropizzare' exists... :)

Of course, nobody is denying the existence or the meaning of anthropiz(s)e; however, on the internet its use is mainly limited to scientific or non-English sites.
anthropiz(s)e' is not so much used/known BUT its use is well proven

Of course if we insist on using and encouraging the literal translation then it might catch on among native English writers ;-) like "solidarity" with the meaning of altruism for example.
