Bosnian term

abadzijski zanat

Bosnian to English Other Other
Recenica glasi:Rad o abadžijskom zanatu rađen je i na osnovu prikupljenih podataka koje sam dobila od abadžija, to je isto bio zanat u izumiranju, jer ta odjeća se skoro više nije ni nosila, čak ni u okolnim selima.

Selected

the draper’s/outfitter’s/clothier’s trade

You might consider one of these a suitable synonym of ‘clothesmaker’. All the other possible candidates I find over-specific, either historically or in terms of what garments they make/made.

See also the final section of Nouns (just above Verbs) in the link below, but be aware that most of them make/made just one type of garment (this might actually be suitable for the context if well chosen). Wiktionary will give you a good impression of each.

Tailor is too simple and I can't for the life of me think of anything more archaic.

agree Mira Stepanovic : I agree, but it is not just any tailor, it is a tailor that uses a felt-like material - "sukno" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadcloth
