The following actions are recommended:
Clean the machine generally.
Clean all air ducts and passages.
Clean the windings if necessary.
Check the endwindings, and ensure that all supports and bindings are tight.
Check all connections for cleanliness and tightness. Look for signs of overheating.
Clean around and check the bearing insulation.
Check air gaps, fans, air seals and oil seals.
Inspect the exciter and PMG windings and the rectifier hub, cleaning as required.
