German term
Erlangung einer Lernkurve
German to English
Marketing
Medical: Health Care
Context:
'Bereitschaft zur Erlangung einer Lernkurve'
In a list of a manager's tasks on his CV. I suspect this relates to willingness to take on the challenge of a learning curve, as I don't see how a learning curve could really be obtained or achieved.
* Sentence or paragraph where the term occurs: See above
* Document type: Employment contract* Target audience: Employers
* Country and dialect (source): German
* Country and dialect (target): American English

It sounds no sillier in EN than it does in DE. I don't see how you can translate 'Lernkurve' as anything other than 'learning curve'. The German author will have been mindful of the English when phrasing the text.

demonstrate a progressive increase in knowledge
I think it's used in the same sense as in the example below:
"All students (11 total) will demonstrate a progressive increase in knowledge, comprehension and application of the theories and skills which will prepare them for a career with the USDA or industry or to successfully transfer to graduate school."

: Gefühlsmäßig würde ich sagen, dass "adopt a learning curve" das Vorbild für "eine Lernkurve erlangen" war – das ist ja so albernes Deutsch, das kann nur fremdsprachlich gedacht sein!

While physically, emotionally and intellectually challenging, the online venue forced me to *adopt a learning curve* that I have yet to discard.

Of those who remained, only few of them were able to *adopt a learning curve*.

Nevertheless, I agree that "Erlangung" is a more than silly term in this context.
or
"willingness to embark on life-long learning" ( if the field is medical, as you indicated)
?
It actually relates to potential customers' willingness.
