Note from asker:
Doesnt make much sense to me, so you mean to say that this is a digital (whatever it is) with an ETSI-ETRA standard? And what is a digital, does that even exist in English? Help much appreciated thanks |

"TErrestrial Trunked RAdio (TETRA) is a digital trunked mobile radio standard developed to meet the needs of traditional Professional Mobile Radio (PMR)..."
"Digital" is the opposite of "Analog" : it means that the information can only have finite values within a discrete interval.
I passed many college exams, one of these was "Trasmissione Numerica" which means "Digital Transmission/Communication".
Moreover I always translated the word "Digital" with "Numerico" (my Professor said that the Italian word "Digitale" was a wrong translation of "Digital")
