In my 9 years' experience as a freelance translator, I have dealt with a very wide range of material, from simple business correspondence to the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs' 400-page annual report on foreign relations (for 2003 and 2004), detailing the Czech Republic's activities in NATO, the EU and other international organisations. I have translated a lot of material related to the European Union - draft Czech legislation transposing EU directives, EU-funded project documentation, tender terms of reference etc. I also work frequently for the Research Institute of Labour and Social Affairs, translating material related to economic and sociological research. I was English-language editor of the Czech Airlines bilingual inflight magazine for two years (2003-2005).
