Samen zoeken ze naar een afgeleide methode van de succesvolle Coumans tapebandage om gewrichtsletsel functioneel te behandelen. Beiden zijn ervan overtuigd dat er een eenvoudiger en gebruiksvriendelijker alternatief moet zijn voor de patiënt. Hoe? Door te ontwerpen met textiel, elastische banden en verstevigingselementen. En zo werd in 1986 Nea International bv opgericht.
