English to Korean: Divinity in Park Hyun Joo's painting General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Art, Arts & Crafts, Painting
Translation - Korean But when the age of God gave way to the age of humans, as in post-Renaissance, light, too, gained a new status as a medium of expressing humans (strictly speaking, to express the divinity that has entered human existence, and to imply God's presence as part of humanity). This is particularly so in Baroque art, with the exemplars of Georges de La Tour and Rembrandt whose paintings depict the subtle and holy light emanating from the inner part of Self, and in the case of Caravaggio whose works illustrate a dramatic tension and mimic the reified form of painting and pathos by the inclusion of light.

Bio
Hello!
I'm a full-time Ph.D. candidate in
comparative literature. I've also founded and managed a small translation
business since 2022, working intimately with the Korean government (museums,
research institutes, and universities) and art galleries as a side job to fund
my degree.
I have rich experience in
translating documents that require academic or scholarly register, and, within
my line of work, I am known for delivering them fast at a reasonable price.
Much like most other graduate
school students, I, too, come with a rather extreme work ethic that completes
tasks within the promised time under any circumstances. My portfolio with the
government will, I hope, testify to my work ethic as they are very sensitive to
the deadlines and often have tight ones.
While there might be other strong
candidates for the position to which I am applying, I know that I am a safe
choice that won't miss. I will be looking forward to hearing from you.
