Operation: Double Acting
Applying air pressure to Port 2 drives the pistons outward, which turns the pinion counterclockwise as the air volume on the outside of the pistons exhausts through Port 1.
Applying air pressure to Port 1 drives the pistons inward, which turns the pinion clockwise as the air volume on the inside of the pistons exhausts through Port 2. Spring return (Fail CW)
Applying air pressure to Port 2 drives the pistons outward, which compresses the springs and turns the pinion counterclockwise as the air volume on the outside of the pistons exhausts through Port 1.
Exhausting the air pressure from Port 2 allows stored energy of the springs to drive pistons inward, turning the pinion clockwise. Air volume on outside of pistons vents through Port 1.
Changing direction of pinion rotation (CW to CCW)
The SuperNova series actuators are normally assembled as Double Acting or Spring Return Fail CW (spring action turns pinion clockwise).
To assembly the actuator on Spring Return Fail CCW (spring action turns pinion counterclockwise):
1. Follow disassembly procedures (next page) from point #1 through #8.
2. Rotate both pistons 180° around their axis: left piston rack must be on air supply ports side, right pinion on the opposite side (see Spring Return CCW drawing).

Location and installation
Set the unit on a firm level surface in a clean dry place.
The floor must have an adequate capacity load for the weight shown in the overall dimension drawing.
Sufficient space (1 meter minimum) around each unit is required for maintenance operations.
Leave free passages for lifting/handling equipment for not routine maintenance.
Take particular care when levelling the unit as to avoid any baseplate distortion that might cause an important misalignment; use shims, if necessary, under the anchoring points.
Mark the position for anchoring through the holes on the baseplate.
Remove the machine and drill the holes for anchoring.
Position again the machine and anchor it with screw anchors for floor mounting.
Since a sliding vane rotary compressor does not transmit any appreciable dynamical effort, do not fasten down the nuts used to anchor the machine.
Machine/motor alignment must be checked after baseplate is anchored on the floor.

Raw water and Biomass are brought together in a complete mixed tank. The raw water is the food for the consuming in free flocs living microorganisms. This biomass conglomerate is called activated sludge and technically expressed as mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS). Secondly, after the consumption of food, the activated sludge is separated by gravity from the cleaned water in a settling tank, the secondary clarifier. From there the sludge is recycled to the aeration tank.
The biomass is a balanced mixture of bacteria and protozoa, which are functioning as the bacteria predators. Both types of microorganisms are necessary in contributing together in the proper cleaning process.
To bring the raw water (food) and the biomass (mass) together it needs a balanced ratio, enough space for biomass, mixing and support of oxygen. The reactor, were the biological process is kept, is called “Aeration Tank”.
Carbon Removal, here in all basin zones 1 till 8 performed. This is the basic aerobic activated sludge treatment process. Thus, the biodegradable organic carbon, here expressed as COD and BOD, is removed. Sugar, Fat, fatty acids and proteins contain carbon in more or less easy biodegradable manner. So it needs bacteriological specialist and growth conditions to maintain this kind of sludge to get the desired treatment result. Roughly half of the carbon is incorporated by the biomass, microorganism such as bacteria and protozoa (e. g. Vorticella of an extended variety) and inert organic carbon. The remaining part is released into the atmosphere as CO2.

Apa brută şi biomasa ajung împreună într-un bazin cu mixare completă. Apa brută reprezintă hrana consumată de microorganismele vii care formează flocule. Acest conglomerat de biomasă este denumit nămol activat şi este exprimat prin termenul tehnic Materii solide totale (MST). În a doua etapă, după consumul hranei, nămolul activat se separă de apa curăţată şi ajunge gravitaţional într-un bazin de sedimentare, decantorul secundar. De acolo nămolul este reciclat în aeratoare.
Biomasa constituie un amestec echilibrat de bacterii şi protozoare, care funcţionează c agenţi care distrug bacteriile. Ambele tipuri de microorganisme sunt necesare pentru curăţarea corespunzătoare a apei.
Pentru realizarea procesului de stabilizare aerobă este necesar să existe un raport echilibrat între apa brută (hrana) şi biomasă, să existe spaţiu suficient pentru biomasă, mixare şi adăugare de oxigen. Reactorul biologic, unde are loc procesul biologic, este denumit „Bazin de Aerare”.
Îndepărtarea carbonului, aici executată în toate sectoarele de bazin de la 1 la 8. Acesta reprezintă procesul de stabilizare aerobă de bază. Conform acestui proces, carbonul organic biodegradabil, exprimat aici prin indicatorii CCO şi CBO, este îndepărtat. Zahărul, grăsimile, acizii graşi şi proteinele conţin carbon mai mult sau mai puţin biodegradabil. Ca urmare, pentru menţinerea acestui tip de nămol sunt necesari specialiştilor bacteriologi şi condiţii de creştere optime pentru a obţine rezultatele de epurare dorite. The sludge line of the WWTP consists of:
• Thickening of the primary and surplus sludge inside a sludge thickener with 2 thickening compartments
• Digestion of the mixed sludge inside a digester with 4000 m³ volume
• Equipment for heating and gas mixing of the digester
• Intermediate storage of the digested sludge in a 600 m³ storage tank
• Mechanical dewatering of the digested sludge by 2 belt filter presses
• Solar drying of the sludge
• Biogas treatment, storage and flare
• Combined heat and power plant (CHP) for biogas use

Thickening of Primary and Surplus sludge
Primary sludge is extracted form the primary clarifiers with eccentric screw pumps, which operate in on/off mode. Macerators eliminate larger objects. The sludge extraction is done as a function of the expected suspended solids load removed at the primary clarifiers, and the sludge level inside the clarifier.
Surplus sludge is extracted at the return sludge pumping station. The flow is determined from the MLSS mass to be extracted, and is controlled by a flow control valve. Polymer is injected to improve thickening of the sludge.

• SEWING THREADS
Threads used must match in shade with the body fabric or lining, unless contrast thread stitching is requested.
Monofilament thread must not be used.
• CUTTING
All “face” fabrics must be cut so that garment panels lie in the correct direction (shading is not acceptable). All fabrics must be finished to avoid crease lines, twisting of grain, or uneven pile in cut panels. Due account must be taken of fabric shrinkage during manufacture on all pattern grading.
• EMBROIDERY
All threads used to be dye fast to all washing agents. Embroidery machine heads to be regularly checked during each working shift. Backing threads in contrast colours must not show through to the face of the embroidery. All excess interlining must be removed from the back of the embroidery on each garment.
• INTERLININGS, APPLIQUES OR TRANSFERS
Manufacturers must adhere to the recommendations and conditions specified by the material suppliers. All fusing or heat sealing must be performed on designated equipment and in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines. It is the manufacturer’s responsibility to ensure that the fusing and heat presses are checked frequently to ensure that conditions are maintained as specified. No delamination or differential shrinkage after wash or wear is acceptable. Interlinings must be compatible with the weight, fibre and care instructions of the finished garment.
• SEWN SEAMS
All seams must be neatly secured and be free from pucker and thread ends. Seam grinning or puckering is unacceptable, avoid this by regularly checking machine tension.
Appropriate needle type and size for each fabric to be used and regularly checked to avoid needle damage from blunt needles.
• BUTTONS AND BUTTONHOLES – OTHER FASTENINGS
All buttons, hooks, bars, sliders and zips must be securely attached and evenly spaced. Buttonholes should be adequate for the size of button and have enough stitches to cover the cut edge, ensuring that any contrasting interlining is not visible.
On all shirts the top buttonhole must always be horizontal and all others are to be vertical evenly spaced unless otherwise specified by Buyer.
• POCKETING
Pockets and flaps will be strongly secured by bartack or stud as agreed. The pocket bags must be stitched and overlocked to prevent fraying and secured into seams where applicable. Any functional pocket must have depth and width necessary for comfortable placement of the hand.
• PRESSING
Prior to production a sample of the correct fabric should be tested on the press, making due note of shrinkage, extension, glazing, etc. Based on this, any necessary action should be taken to remedy these faults in production. Finished garments must not be overpressed, show impressions or creases. Garments should not be stretched on the frame, subjected to excessive overpressing, to achieve finished dimensions. All garments are to be allowed to dry and cool before folding and packing.

Toate aplicările de adezivi sau inserţii termofuzibile trebuie realizate pe echipamente corespunzătoare, cu respectarea cerinţelor producătorilor. • EXECUŢIE BUZUNARE
Buzunarele şi clapele trebuie să fie asigurate fix prin cheiţe sau butoni, conform înţelegerii. Pungile buzunarelor trebuie să fie tighelite şi surfilate pentru a preveni destrămarea marginilor ţesăturii şi fixate în cusătură acolo unde este cazul. Orice buzunar funcţional trebuie să aibă adâncimea şi lăţimea necesară pentru ca mâna să intre uşor.
• CĂLCARE
Înainte de începerea producţiei, se va face un test de călcare a unei mostre din materialul corect la presa de călcat, pentru a observa posibilele contracţii ale materialului, întinderi, formare aspect lucios, etc. Pe baza acestui test, se va lua orice măsură necesară pentru remedierea acestor defecte înainte de a începe producţia. Despite American independence, the mid to late nineteenth century witnessed the consolidation of European imperial power. Regions and civilizations which had so far eluded European control experienced first-hand its military might. By 1878 the great powers had almost doubled the world land area under their dominion. This frenzied phase of expansion was influenced in part by the industrialization of warfare which transformed, as well as multiplied exponentially, the military capacity of all the major powers. In 1842 British sea-power extended no further than 200 miles into mainland China yet within a decade it had extended to Hankow, double the distance inland.
New technologies of war, such as breech-loading rifle, the Gatling gun, gunboats, the machine-gun and sophisticated artillery, together with the ability to mass produce military hardware, reinforced the growing ‘firepower gap’ between the West and the ‘rest’. The dramatic scale of this ‘firepower gap’ is illustrated by the occurrence, during this period, of some of the most lopsided military confrontations in world history. During 1841 Opium War with China the British steamship Nemesis single-handedly destroyed in one day ‘9 war junks, 5 forts, 2 military stations and 1 shore battery’. Within a year the Chinese empire was defeated by the deployment of a few gunboats and superior military firepower.
Such was the scale of the military imbalance that in many contexts ‘military power could be kept in reserve, if used at all’.
The industrialization of war (that is, the application of industrial production methods and technologies to the instruments and techniques of warfare), combined with huge and increasingly well organized and disciplined armed forces, facilitated the most extensive phase of Western imperialism since the initial voyages of discovery.

Deși America era independentă, în a doua jumătate a secolului al XIX-lea puterea imperială europeană s-a consolidat. Regiuni și civilizații care până atunci se situaseră în afara sferei de control european i-au cunoscut în mod direct puterea militară. Până în 1878 suprafața teritoriului aflat sub dominația marilor puteri aproape că s-a dublat. Această etapă de expansiune frenetică a fost influențată parțial de industrializarea tehnicilor de război, care a transformat și în același timp a dus la o multiplicare exponențială a capacităților militare ale marilor puteri. În 1842 puterea maritimă a Marii Britanii nu se extindea decât la 200 de mile în interiorul Chinei, pentru ca după numai zece ani să ajungă până la Hankow, ceea ce însemna o dublare a distanței.
Noile tehnologii de război, precum flinta cu închizător, tunul Gatling, canoniera, mitraliera și artileria sofisticată, la care se adăuga producția în serie de armament greu, au dus la accentuarea „decalajului de putere de foc” între Occident și restul lumii. Amploarea dramatică a acestui „decalaj de putere de foc” este ilustrată de izbucnirea în această perioadă a unora dintre cele mai dezechilibrate confruntări militare din întreaga istorie a lumii.
În timpul Războiului Opiului din 1841 împotriva Chinei, nava britanică Nemesis a reușit să distrugă singură, într-o zi, „nouă ambarcațiuni de război, cinci forturi, două baze militare și o baterie aflate la țărm”. În decurs de un an, Imperiul Chinez a fost înfrânt folosind numai câteva nave de război și beneficiind de o dotare superioară în privința armelor de foc.
Atât de mare era discrepanța de ordin militar, încât în multe situații „puterea militară era ținută în rezervă sau chiar nefolosită”.
Industrializarea războiului (adică aplicarea unor metode și tehnologii de producție industrială la echipamentele și tehnicile de război), corelată cu puterea unor armate imense, tot mai bine organizate și disciplinate, a facilitat cea mai extensivă etapă a imperialismului occidental, de la primele expediții de descoperiri teritoriale.
