I have been working as a freelance interpreter and translator for nearly two years. This started during my university years when I was interpreting for interviews for foreign newspapers and continued after my graduation when I had to be an interpreter in training programs conducted by ILO Indonesia, which was "SIYB (Start and Improve Your Business) Training" in Magelang and Pekalongan. Most recently, I was hired by PT. Sucofindo who wereselected as the training provider of "Train the Trainer for Quality Assurance in Islamic Higher Education" and "Accountability in Performance Measurement and Reporting", .The program is a part of the Australian Government’s Indonesia-Australia Specialised Training Project-III (IASTP-III) and Australia-Indonesia Partnership (http://www.iastp.org/). The aim of the program was to develop QA capability in Islamic Higher Education in Indonesia through a Train-the-Trainer program and observation and analysis of the best practices in QA in Australia. I was hired as an interpreter for steps 1, 3 and 4 (step 2 was held in Australia) and the program was evaluated very positively. |
