I am an aspiring adventurer, explorer, philosopher, seeker, activist, linguist, Jill-of-all-trades, vagabond and global citizen.
I have a bachelor's degree in Philosophy.
I took four full years of Spanish while in high school, including one year of an Advanced Placement (or college level equivalent) course, and was a top student in my class. I also took a semester in college. I spent 38 days speaking Spanish on a trip to Costa Rica in 2002 and have had numerous opportunities to keep my language skills fresh over the years through conversations with bi-lingual colleagues. I also continue to read Spanish fluently, and although I am just getting started as a professional translator, reading comprehension has always been my strong point.
I am willing to translate on any subject, am a fast learner and always ready for something new. Trust me with your project and I won't rest until you're absolutely satisfied!
I plan to branch out into other languages in the near future, and am currently learning Tagalog in preparation for a trip to the Philippines. If you need a Tagalog > English translation and are having trouble finding someone, I can help you out. If all else fails, my husband is fluent and we will turn out a professional product for you together. |
