ومثل المشتغلون الأجانب بمنشآت القطاع الخاص والعام الحصة الأكبر خلال الفترة وذلك بنسبة 78% من الإجمالي ما يعادل 6.74 مليون عامل، والحصة المتبقية كانت من نصيب السعوديين بنحو 1.93 مليون عامل.
وحسب البيانات، فقد كان أغلب المشتغلين متمركزين بمنشآت القطاع الخاص وذلك بنسبة 97% من إجمالي المشتغلين ما يعادل 8.41 مليون مشتغل، بينما بلغ عددهم بمنشآت القطاع العام نحو 263.9 ألف عامل وهو ما يمثل 3% من الإجمالي.
وحسب الجنسية، فقد تمركز أغلب المشتغلين السعوديين في منشآت القطاع الخاص وذلك بنسبة 87.9% ما يعادل 1.70 مليون مشتغل، بينما بلغ عددهم في القطاع العام نحو 233.4 الأف عامل ما يمثل 12.1%.
كما كانت النسبة الأكبر من المشتغلين الأجانب بمنشآت القطاع الخاص وذلك ﺒ99.5% ما يعادل 6.71 مليون عامل، بينما كانت فئة قليلة تشتغل بمنشآت القطاع العام.

The total of 8.67 million worked in Saudi Arabia’s private and public sectors in Q1 2019, data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed.
Expatriate workers in private and public enterprises accounted for 78 percent of the total work force, or 6.74 million workers, while the remaining positions were occupied by around 1.93 million Saudis.
Around 97 percent, or 8.41 million are employed at private sector firms, while about 263,900 work for the public sector (3 percent).
Nationality wise, 87.9 percent of Saudis, or 1.7 million, work in private firms, while 233,400 Saudis (12.1 percent) work in the public sector.
About 6.71 million expatriate workers (99.5 percent) are in the private sector, while the remaining 0.5 percent work for state entities.
