I am of Egyptian origin and was raised and educated in Sudan but have lived in the UK for 20+ years. I am therefore genuinely bicultural and bilingual.

Before becoming a translator I acquired a solid education, with an HND in Business and Finance from Brighton University followed by years of experience in the business sector, including four years with American Express UK.

I then re-evaluated my career path and decided to combine my professional skills with my lifelong passion for languages. I trained and qualified as an interpreter and translator through the Chartered Institute of Linguists and joined the National Register of Public Service Interpreters. In both capacities, I am committed to CPD in order to keep my knowledge and skills up to speed, thus gaining Chartered Linguist status.

I have subsequently worked on a wide range of interpreting and translating projects for direct clients and agencies alike, gaining more than 16 years' full-time experience.

My aim is to provide all my clients with meticulous research, fluency in writing and speaking, efficiency and professional standards, in-depth understanding of their needs and personalised service.
