In order to determine which proposed source texts are the suitable for use in ProZ.com contests, proposers and participants are encouraged to "highlight" (like contest entry tagging) and discuss proposed source texts. A good contest source text should pose a reasonable challenge to translators, while allowing for "separation". Refer to the "Propose a source text" overview page for all source text proposal guidelines.

Sommertag
Elisaveta Bagrjana

Der Tag ist lang, still, unerschöpflich -
wie die Liebe ist in meinem Herz zu dir,
wie das Feld, es verschwindet ins Unendlichkeit.

Weit entfernt von Sorgen und Welt,
ich bin allein wie ein Wald hat geregnet,
und ein See, es glänzt am Morgen.


Die Seele voll von Honig und Duft,
wie kehrt eine Biene berauscht am Abend zurück
und jede Strauch und jede Blume sind ihr bekannt.



Und tagsüber, das stille Haus,
im sommerlichen schlafend die Sommerglast,
Eines nach dem andern öffnen sie die Fenster.


und atmet es diesen nicht erfassbar Hauch
von Erdbeeren, Thymian und nach Heu, dafür
wir in den Städten schmelzen.


Und ich fühle der lebendige Bestandteil
der Liebe in der Welt, es umhüllte uns beiden
über alle Besorgnis und Betrug.
