Bio

I am a professional Arabic–Spanish translator with almost 25 years of experience, specialising in multilingual and cross‑cultural communication for professional, institutional and business contexts.

My work is rooted in clear, accurate and well‑adapted communication. Having grown up between Syria and Spain, I developed an early understanding of how language operates across cultures and environments, an awareness that continues to shape my professional approach and informs how I assess audience, register and purpose in each project.

I work exclusively into my native languages, Arabic and Spanish, ensuring natural, precise and context‑appropriate translations. I also work with English and Galician in support of multilingual communication. Over the years, I have collaborated with both agencies and direct clients on a wide range of professional texts, including legal and contractual documentation, institutional and corporate communication, technical documentation, digital content, localisation and audiovisual materials.

Each project is approached with a strong emphasis on clarity, terminological consistency, accuracy and reliability, without losing sight of the text’s intended function and audience. My workflow integrates CAT tools, translation memories and glossaries to support consistency and efficiency, while maintaining full responsibility for linguistic quality and final output.

Continuous learning is a core part of my practice. I stay up to date with developments in the translation industry, including terminology management, evolving standards and artificial intelligence, and explore how these tools can be used responsibly to support high‑quality translation.

In addition to translation, I provide proofreading, MTPE, subtitling, and consecutive and liaison interpreting between Arabic and Spanish.
