...I was wondering if these scammers also have a way to use Paypal or wire transfer for their purposes. I received a similar message and the scammer was asking me if I accepted Paypal or wire transfer. I said I only accepted money orders and he disappeared immediately. So I was wondering whether anybody knows how to scam money through Paypal or wire transfer... | | | Isabelle F. BRUCHER (X) Belgium Local time: 03:56 English to French + ... Hi, I received the exact same type of text a while ago and everybody on this forum told/showed me this was already a well-known scam. Suggest you ask for email notifications of new topics posted on the Scam forum, which is what I did after that (or rather, I had notifications for too many forums, so never read them: I cancelled them all, except for the Scam forum). Dont' even bother to answer, the guy is probably crazy and has nothing else to do. Total waste of time.... Hi Haytham, Have you seen this? http://www.proz.com/about/translator-scam-alerts/ Apart from the initiative itself, there's also a direct link for reporting scams. It's at the bottom of the page, on the right. | | | Similiar scam, might be in another languages as well | Mar 1, 2012 |
I received a urgent request to translate a visa application to Finland from English to Finnish, saying Finnish Embassy needs it in Finnish or Swedish. All Visas are in English as a first selection in Finnish Foreign ministries Web page - there is no need to translate them - which must be a case in all EU countries. This was urgent, in 24 hours from Pretoria ? Have you recieved any?
