Which term or aspect do you find difficult in this sentence?
In most cases, a sentence is difficult to translate simply becuase its words are not easy. Sometimes it is the use of two or more terms together that makes a sentence more challenging. At other times, it is the word order or the idiomatic wording. Whatever it is, it helps if you specify what you find challenging so we can
1) focus our suggestions on that part or aspect, and
2) avoid spoonfeeding (translating full sentences). That is not helpful to anybody. We have had cases where a passage consisted of 10 to 20 senetences, and the translator posted 5 or 7 of these on ProZ.
In any case, here is a suggestion:

It's hard to say exactly what sense is intended based on just this fragment, and the trans. depends on how conservative your philosophy of translation is. I'd vote for hewing closely to the original, on the principle of 'conservation of ambiguity'.
