I must apologize for the complete lack of context as it's from a word-forming exercise in Teach Yourself Arabic – no meaning whatsoever is given, one is just told to form the word.
Apparently it's pronounced 'lakhbaTa'.
Please give the most common meaning, and I'll add it to my dictionary.

: I think, if you are going to add synonyms, it is better to add them under the similar answer, not to post them in a new entry because sometimes some colleagues support the late answer paying no attention to time factor which is unfair. What do you think?

No you are correct, however sometimes synonyms carry certain nuances that better express the meaning. Not to be argumentative but I've seen answers where 4 people said اقرب كثيرا or something to that sort. I usually play fair as you can see from my notes.
