عربي إلى أنجليزي الفن/الأدب الشعر والأدب
جاء فقط ليقود القارب
كان القارب يخيط البحر بركامه طويلة ومتصلة من الموج الأبيض
وفي هذه الأثناء بداء ولد يافع في الغناء بصوت متحشرج بين الألم والفرح :

agree Abd-Elrahman Elkashef : it is a metaphor of Arabic, a bad one actually, he just liking the boat as it is a sewing machine it connected or merged the water together.

I am trying but I am not 100% sure

Adorning the sea with an endless trim(or frills) of white lace

As the esteemed members said this is a figure of speech referring to the white foam caused by the movement of the boat. I do not think using the literal translation of يخيط is appropriate here.
